The following positions are available at NEDT: Technical Sales Representative: This position will focus on developing and closing containerized waste transportation and disposal opportunities throughout the Northeast. To be eligible for this position the candidate must have a strong background in the hazardous waste transportation and disposal industry with 3 -5 years of successful and productive client interaction. Direct sales experience is a plus but not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, have 1-3 years of field experience as a lab pack chemist, foreman, or supervisor, and have a solid understanding of state and federal environmental regulations. College degree preferred. 40 hour OSHA training a plus. Foreman: To provide "on project" supervision for field service and remediation activities. This position requires environmental industry experience and a strong knowledge of emergency spill response, storage tank cleaning and removal, oil spill clean-up, industrial maintenance activities, and other general construction operations. The selected candidate must be able to manage project activities, perform daily activities safely and within company guidelines, and complete and submit daily paperwork in a timely manner. He or she will be expected to be available 24 hours a day (on a rotational basis) for emergency spill response activities. Existing OSHA 40 hour training and certification, and/or previous field supervisory experience will be considered a plus. Field Technician: This is an entry-level position that will provide daily general construction labor for field service and remediation projects. Daily activities Daily activities may include but are not limited to: storage tank cleaning and removal; oil spill clean-up; industrial maintenance activities; sample collection; monitoring; emergency response services; and general construction related labor. This position requires a self-motivated person with the desire to learn and the ability to work as a team player toward project and company goals. The ideal individual will have a willingness to take direction, assist other company personnel as requested, and will have the determination and eagerness to learn and retain basic knowledge of daily work practices and develop and understanding of OSHA regulations. This job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
