In June of this year, Veolia announced that it had expanded its US hazardous waste capabilities through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. New England Disposal Technologies, Inc. was one of those acquisitions. Now, five months later, we’re reaching the end of our transition. You may have seen our letter as a current customer, changes in the emails of staff you’re working with, or the new branding on our vehicles. Today, we want to dive a bit deeper into what it means for our customers, including our expanded capabilities and how to stay in touch.

What’s Changing for NEDT Post-Acquisition

Rest assured, your dedicated people, reliable service, and specialized hazardous waste management solutions remain unchanged. You will see some changes both now and in the coming months. The biggest change is branding. The NEDT brand is being phased out—this includes physical items such as trucks, staff uniforms, equipment, and signage, as well as digital assets, including websites and emails. Everything will be replaced with Veolia branding.

Our Expanded Capabilities as Part of Veolia

With these changes also comes a massive expansion of our capabilities, enhanced sustainability efforts, and the offer of even more services. We’re not the only US or New England business that Veolia has acquired recently, other companies include Ingenium and New England MedWaste. Now that we’re all under the same roof, expanded services include:

  • Capabilities for safely managing lab packs, reactive materials, medical waste, radioactive waste, and controlled substances as identified by the DEA.
  • Access to a broader disposal network of Veolia-owned and approved third-party facilities, including Veolia’s medical waste treatment and non-hazardous waste consolidation facility in Middleton, MA.
  • Knowledge of the industry and troubleshooting problems for our clients is expanded through connections to multiple specialists across companies, as well as Veolia’s long history in hazardous waste and the energy sector.

Staying in Touch: Our Website and Contact Info

For the time being, everything should redirect you to the right place: old email addresses will direct you to the same people, old URLs will send you to the equivalent new website pages, and our phone numbers will remain the same. If you need to get in touch and don’t have a direct contact, please feel free to reach out with the info below:

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We’re still the same team you know and count on, with our same history of customer excellence, project management, and deep knowledge of MA and New England hazardous waste cleanup, transportation, and disposal. By joining Veolia and its extensive resources throughout Massachusetts, the US, and the rest of the world, we now have even more capabilities to support your goals!
